Dungarvan

The population of Dungarvan, and its immediate environs is in excess of 17,000, with a population of c.46,000 living within a 30 minute commuting distance. It is served by the N25 National Primary route giving speedy access to Cork Airport (60 mins), Waterford Regional Airport (40 mins), Waterford Port (40 mins) and Rosslare Ferryport (100 mins).

The town is a vibrant retail centre servicing West Waterford and East Cork, providing shoppers with a combination of local boutiques and high street brands. Award winning restaurants, bars and traditional pubs cater for every taste, ensuring a good night out.

Dungarvan’s enclosed harbour is home to a very active sailing club and the area is renowned as a deep-sea and inshore angling centre.

The town is situated adjacent to Clonea blue-flag beach, a haven for windsufing, water skiing, surfing and paragliding.

Within a 6km radius of the town are 3 championship standard, 18-hole golf courses.

With an excellent and very active Walking Club based in the town, the nearby Knockmealdown, Comeragh and Monavullagh mountains offer exceptional walking and climbing opportunities.

The area is also noted for its equestrian profile and there are a number of equestrian centres in close proximity to the town, offering riding lessons, hacking, trekking and full and part livery.

On the cultural side, the town offers Drama and Theatre groups, Art Galleries, Museum and Library.
