Up until my late twenties I had spent most of my life quite happily living in Dublin. Looking back it was mostly down to the congestion and expense of Dublin getting out of hand and we were looking for something better. We settled on a move to Dungarvan after a few good weekends tasting the delights of west Waterford. A walk up to the lakes in the Comeraghs and a swim in the cove in Helvick all washed down with a creamy pint in town sold it for me. At the time I thought the move was a little daunting but looking back it was relatively simple. I expect it is much easier to move from Dublin to Dungarvan that the other way round. In Dungarvan the pace of life is a little bit easier, the cost of living is a little bit cheaper, the people are a little bit friendlier.
